glove box problem
I mean, You open the glove box and it bangs down. Is this the way it works?
Thanks
attached to the glove box's exterior (inside dash) is a plastic piston. this
is attached to the door via somewhat flimsy plastic, lattice like webbing.
it is flexible and if the door is forcefully pulled open, the webbing is the
part which gives way.
if you pop the glove box out (which is quite easy....to access cabin filters),
you may be lucky and see that the webbing is easily rethreaded to the piston.
if so, you're back in business. if not, just replace the webbing with anything
which is flexible and will fit the door-to-piston connection.
the glovebox for the W210 takes about 3 mins slow, to remove

Do I have to un-screw something to make the glove box pop out.
I did give it a try but am afraid of breaking something.
Will appreciate any kind of help.
Thanks

yes, it'll cost you...unless someone already owns that and feels compelled to
post a similar clip. did you try searching the forum? if your filters are behind
the glove box, it's unlikely that you're the first to ask about glove box removal.
