Man, that is tough, how hard can it be to replace springs, jeez.... Not much!! I changed one Airmatic strut on the front and it was a BREEZE. And it was AIRMATIC! I have access to a WIS and it shows how to do it step by step. It was as easy as it showed. You do need to have the correct tools, and they are shown on the manuals.

I cannot understand why shops are afraid of Benzes. They do have a lot of specialty engineered into them, especially on electronics and other systems, but a simple spring change? What kind of excuses were they giving?

swapping lowering springs on a e320 or e350 sedan is not very difficult. ALL wagons have self levelling rear suspension to compensate any extra weight they may carry. E500 and e550 wagons/sedans have standard airmatic suspension. These can be lowered via an electronic module from renntech/brabus etc... or via star diagnose. e320's and e350 sedans have an optional airmatic package.

The Saks car does NOT have airmatic. The Winter Edition models (4-Matic Saks cars) have the airmatic.

How must does Airmatic drop at its lowest setting? Has anyone lowered an Airmatic suspension before?

The place in L.A. is called EuroRev. Ask for Vincent. Here's what they did to my '07 E350 Saks.

Jumping in on this topic as I just ordered the rear spoiler in the group buy deal... I need to drop it now... 19's been on too long now...hehee

Will I need to get alignment after spring install?
Best Spring for 06 E350?
I read the front sometimes sits higher than rear with the lowering springs... true?
ANY DIYers have tips?

Its only friggin springs... how hard can it be... inside or outside spring compressor??? I have not gotten under the car yet to see....

thans
