gps antenna removal/refit
hi all, just in the middle of upgrading from a aps50 sat nav unit to the full comand system,i didnt realise the sat nav drive will be in the trunk, its inbuilt in the aps 50,however the problem is ,how do i connect the gps antenna lead which is behind the dash, does it drag out easy from behind the dashboard and does it run through the floorpan area,so i can reroute it into the trunk,or is it routed through the roof lining, cos i dont like the sound of that, ive read somewhere that i need a gps splitter, why would i need that if i can reroute the cable easy,or is it not easy ?could i remove the cable at the antenna end,and how,and run a new cable into the trunk?

I would probably run a new antenna or make my own cable if you want to use the current antenna. You will need some fakra connectors and coax cable if you want to make your own cable.

I have already retrofitted the roof antenna.
The simple problem is that---difficult run both wire beneath rubber seal without gap between a glass and a rubber seal at the origin of both wire from antenna---there's differences with factory fitted antenna.
Do you have any good idea?
