3D Nav for 2005 E320 CDI?
I have a 2005 E320 CDI with Nav. Overall, I like it, but I've had a portable TomTom device and recently got my wife a Garmin. Both of these portables had a "3D" view which simulates looking out the front window while driving. On my MB, there's only 2D as an option -- this is more like looking at the car on the road from a helicopter -- not as user friendly.
Does anyone know if 3D is available and how to get it on my COMAND? Does it require "flashing" the system somehow?

I dont think the 3D has anything to do with the Navteq disk. Audi A6 and Q7 got a software upgrade to the MMI that will let them view the NAV in 3D using the same Navteq software. so it is the MB who doesnt want to do it

Actually, the 2006.x discs are 3D capable for the models that can utilize it.
The 2005.3 disc size is just over 1gb and the 2006.x disc is over 2gb.
According to Navteq, that extra gb is for the 3D function.
