$830/mth for 27 mths??

My '05 is going back soon. Any thoughts on this deal would be appreciated:

2007 E350 4matic White/Cashmere P1, Split Rear Seats, 15k/$0 down lease - $830/month, 27 mths or $769/month, 39 mths (includes 6% MI sales tax per monthly payment).

They're waiving the last 3 months of my '05, and they're waiving the $395 "disposition" fee. The MSRP is $56,525 and I'm getting it for around $53,700 - or about $2,600 off MSRP. Invoice appears to be $52,622 + dealer ad costs per Edmunds.

And by the way, I will have a wood/stone leather steering wheel and the entire MB integrated phone system for 2005+ available when I turn in the '05.

The new "Tan" colored interior is not the same color as Stone. Stone was a really beautifull tan with a distinct yellow cast to it. The new Beige or tan colored interior is definitely a mocha/tan color with no yellow tones to it at all. The phone is useable the wheel is not, if that was the plan.

Seems like Mercedes is helping you out paying whats left on the current vehicle. If that's what they offer then go for it.

Yeah Barry, the new interior color is not real popular with me. It reminds me of the peanut butter color from my '98 ML320 I just don't care for the grey or black interior - personal thing, nothing against others. I am actually giving serious consideration to the CLK because the Stone is still available in that model.

As for the wheel and phone system, they are available for other forum members in need. I know the wheel won't work, and the '07 has the phone system in it already - won't need either for my new ride. **STEVE** Wood wheels available yet for the '07 cashmere??

And has anybody heard if the VCM from an '05 can be installed in an '07? My dealer thinks it is only available as a factory installed option for '07. I may experiment and report if it works.

The prewiring is in the car if you order at least Pkg 1, I believe... but whatever option package it takes to get the prewiring, you still must buy a phone & cradle, or a phone & bluetooth adapter (puck) for the console.

I have VCA in my car, and there are new and additional comands that were not recognized in my '04. I don't know what they are yet since the VCA manual was missing from my car & has been ordered theu the parts department.

You really want to get involved with removing it all from the old car & reinstalling it into the new one? What happens if it fails? (They do, sometimes) Its old so no warranty coverage, among other things.

Jschade, I presume you have seen the cashmere interior in the E?
I was not too thrilled either when the salesman was telling me about it (didn’t have the grey I was looking for) but when I saw it in the E350 (Black with Cashmere interior) I liked it. I loved the stone interior of the CLK they had on the floor but it is not available on the E class. It is not even close to the tan interior of the 99 ML 430 I had (that was a peanut butter color, this one is much lighter). The more I get into the car, the more I like the interior (but of course, it is my preference and can’t force anyone). It does look nice with the black birds eye.
BTW, I also have the wood steering wheel in cashmere and black wood.

Sounds like a good deal

As I said in a previous post, they offered me a "buy out" of my last 3 payments. I originally thought that the salesman was trying a sales ploy and the payments would wind up rolled into my new lease. I am glad to see that I was wrong.

However, I am curious, is there any negative equity rolled into your deal?

I was working on a 12k 39 month lease and they quoted me $690. We are still negotiating the out of pocket. The car is a Black/Black leather and is a 4Matic has P1, sport, and iPod. But we are looking for walnut trim, which seems elusive so far.

With Premium 1 you get more than just the prewiring, you get all of the components and the prewiring but not the cradle or bt puck and phone. I already have a v710 and a v60s with both cradles. Plug and play with the new '07.

I'm only considering trying the VCM in my '07. All I asked was if anyone knew if the VCM from the '05 was compatible with '07. As I said in my previous posts, I'm getting all of the phone components removed from the '05, as well as my wood/leather steering wheel, and I will offer them for sale to other forum members that wish to install them in their '05+ w211.
