Has someone tried installing clear headlights on 03 w211?

The frosted headlights just don't look that good, Is it possible to get the clear headlights installed?

Any side effects??

Sorry guys.. I think the frosted word is not right.

But how can I explain this, isint the headlights of 03 different that of 04, 05..

03 headlight bulbs look translucent where as the later models look transparent.

All W211 using H7 bulb. (except for the HID)
Bulb is frosted, it could mean it is "dying" or previous owner has some grease on the bulb, or after-market "blue" bulb that has been used.

There is no different between 03~06 model (housing)

Or do you like to take a picture of you bulb? Maybe that will help us id the question.

Are you talking about the lens in the headlamp assembly, behind the plexiglass outer shell?

I believe they are the same. Over time any dust inside the assembly is getting heated & smoked and it lands on that lens. My '04s started clear & gradually developed that haze inside. My '07's are currently clear, but over time, I expect them to get that white smoke on the lens too. The lights are so bright, and good at what they do, it didn't seem to make any difference in how well I could see at night.

I don't know that there's any way to clean the lens.

I think the lense on the projector has a dirty film on it. I have an '06 and the driver side recently started looking like yours. The passenger is fine though. Gonna have the dealer check it out for me the next time it gets serviced.

i have the same frosted headlight even with OEM HID still can't see any at Dark. can i swap the Lens to clear or i have to buy the brand new set of head light??
