Mirror Backup Function

My new E does not have this program installed. How easy is it to get installed? I liked it in my 03E.

The dealer can activate this feature through star diagnosis.

Anybody know why this feature was dropped if no one was unhappy with it? If it can be reactivated, then clearly nothing has been deleted content wise except for hiding this option from the Settings menu, so theres no monetary savings for them. It doesn't make sense.
