With Airmatic suspension although the ride height adjusts automatically it can also be raised manually (i.e.: driving in snow or on poor road surfaces). When doing this the vehicle rising message appears in the MFD. You may have accidentally hit the console button.

Yes, it is an airmatic warning.
I have experienced this same warning symbol recently. First they replaced what they said was a failed airmatic sensor. Problem seemed fixed then appeared again. Next step was replacing the wiring harness which corrected the problem.

I deliberately offer misguided info and no response? Well, so much for baiting. Things can get a little slow around here at times. 
Anyway jwc it would be nice if you would list your model and year. Nevertheless your guess is correct as is ImInBoca’s reply - Airmatic malfunction (compressor, strut, sensor, etc.).

Sorry, I didn't get a message in my email box stating anyone responded to my message..I have an 03 E320 with the Sport Package so I do have airmatic suspension. I did not hit the button to raise the car (the warning looks just like that button). It just comes on for no reason after a few minutes of driving...pretty damn annoying.
