Recommendation on Parktronics mod

I finally made up my mind to install parktronics for my wife's w211 so I called Sunman who will be visiting Seattle area later this month and made an arrangement.

As Mark mentioned a while back, I have asked Sunman to get the Euro impact strips which has clear side markers.

BTW, Sunman mentioned that he needs to made a hole at the edge of the dash in order to put the display for the front PTS. He also mentioned that a couple of his customers have order the new dash with a hole for PTS since they didn't want new non-factory finish on their car.

What's your thought? Should I order a new dash with a hole or not?

Cheers,

Entirely up to you when spending that kind of money (I would expect it to be expensive) but my thought would be to ask the guy how big a hole he has to make and how many wires he has to run to the display? If he uses the right equipment and the right installation process I would feel you should not able to tell the difference between yours installed by him and a factory installation.

The (EURO) Front Bumper Inserts do NOT have any side markers..Unlike the USA cars with the ugly amber side markers

I Would Use Your dash..NO Reason to buy another dash...

As The Hole drilled in the dash for the front display is covered up with the ParkTronic Display....Cant tell it was done!

Thanks for all of your thoughts and clarification on the EURO impact inserts

I thought there would be clear side marker in EURO version since it was the case for my 997
