Auto trunk closing?
Got my new E320 yesterday (Woohoo!) and being the geek that I am, I'm reading the manual cover to cover. Still not done...its a thick manual. Anyhow, at one point it shows how there is an option to have the trunk close remotely and shows how there is a button to press instead of the handle in the trunklid that automatically lowers and locks the trunk. The trunk can also be closed from the switch on the drivers door with this option.
My car doesn't have this, nor was it listed on any option list that I saw. I'm curious, which cars have this feature? Do the E500's have it?

There is a red button inside of the trunk that you need to push in order for the trunk to close. However for safety reasons you can not do it from the remote control.
The Option is # 881 and it is a $455.00

By the way I read the damn manual 2 times already.
70% of all of cars owner never reads the manual, you ask them about it and they dont even know that the car has this or that.
My friend gave me one so when I receive the car I dont need to start looking for anything.
