Traded in the W211...
Now I have genuine MB winter mats and trunk tray to dispose of. If you have any interest, please PM me.
I also have some UGLY wheels and snow tires that work on W210 and W211. Won't be needing them any more.
Thanks to all for advice and help over the years!

Went over to the other side!
We traded for a Lexus RX 330 in order to get more utility in a still very car-like package. It's our first SUV, first AWD, first non-Mercedes car my wife has driver in 20 years. She just likes it better than the ML, which has also had a spotty reputation where reliability is concerned.

It was a consideration...
but it didn't seem like much of a change. We wanted to try something different and the W211 wagon, while a great car, would have had much the same feel as the sedan. It was also quite a bit more expensive, when you factor in the 4matic, The W211 wagon is really a $55 - 60K car, where the RX330 is a $40K car. Finally, I did have some frustrations with the W211, especially the '03, which is what we had...lots of recalls, noisy SBC, no dipstick (sounds trivial, but it freaked me out). I guess it is, as people used to say when they were changing jobs, we were "desirous of change."

Yes, it's a 350 now
Ours is a CPO, an '04 with about 25k on the clock. The '04 looks the same as the newer ones however. That was the first year of the updated styling. I sort of wish I had the additional displacement, but this seemed like a good way to go if I wanted to try something different and avoid the new car depreciation.

Thanks for your comment
The mats and tray are both black. I will ship, but the buyer will have to pay the cost. I was hoping to get $75 for everything, Thanks for your interest.

I guess I'm a trader and a traitor...
but you have to try something different every once in a while, don't you? I normally don't ascribe gender to automobiles, but the RX does seem to be one that appeals to women. This vehicle is for my wife's use and it's the only one of the crop of SUVs, crossovers, etc. that she liked. She wouldn't even look at an ML or an MDX, which I was also willing to consider.

'05 E320
Same here. Warranty on the '05 will be up soon and it needs to go away. Unfortunately it must have been built on a drunken holiday. Too many noises, hesitation problems, brake problems, wheel pitting, cosmetic issues and plastic parts falling off in the inside and out to deal with. All this in 40k. Of course then there are others who haven't had a single issue with theirs.
The true problem wasn't just the car itself but the condescending service we received year after year from the dealer. They were very reluctant to help on anything.

Yes, too many service issues for a car at this price point
I was blaming my problems on the first year of production, but it sounds like it wasn't all sorted out yet in '05. I still consider the car working as designed to be an absolute requirement before you can take into consideration things like luxury, performance or driving experience. You can't enjoy any of those things if the car is in the shop and, sadly, that's where ours was too much of the time. It was plagued even by little things that any car maker should know how to make by now. We had a W210 before for eight years and we had five years of perfection and then the bottom fell out. I was especially miffed by the rusty spring perches (a $2,000 repair of which MB picked up 80%) and the $900 blower motor regulator. They changed the design mid-production run and no longer carried repair parts for the old design. No alternative than to buy the entire new motor, housing, regulator and wiring harness adapter. Yes, I was ready for a change. Good luck with whatever you choose, but I recommend you stay away from BMW and Audi -- more of the same. I'm not a "hater" and I do like these cars, but they are really for the "money's no object" crowd more than they are for me.

I'll call the shipping $10
and pick up any difference myself, since nobody's exactly breaking the door down for them. They're yours (floors and trunk) for $75 plus $10 UPS ground shipping. PM or email me if you're interested and we'll make arrangements. I also have pics I can send you if you're interested.
