Setting Command unit region

I have a Euro Command in my 2003 E500, it is set to Eur211 so that I can play DVDs. When I insert a Dvd it says the DVD is unable to play because region is set to#2. DOes anyone know how to set the region to O? I understand this may resolve the issue.

To change the DVD region code on the COMAND APS you have to call up the engineering menu and once in that menu you then have to call up the extended menu. Both these menus are hidden.

Try this:

ENGINEERING MODE Menu:
Press and hold [mute] + [end] + [serv] for about 8 seconds, or until the "Engineering Menu" appears.

ENGINEERING MODE Extended Menu:
Once on the ENGINEERING MODE Menu press and hold [#],[*], [left arrow] (in that order), until you see these three italicized options on the right side of the COMAND.

The new menu items are:
• Dr.Dist – Driver Distraction
• RegCod – Region Code <------- This is the item you're looking for.
• Backd…- Backdoor

Hope this helps.
