PTT Lever
Hi. everyone i'm a newbie here. I just purchase a 2003 E500. i want to use handfree in my car, i don't think i have the phone option but i have a PPT push-to-talk lever
what else do i need to install the phone system? i only have the cd player with tape and cd changer not the comand. can anyone help me out. Thx a lot

You have to pull it towards you, wait a half a second & give it a voice command. If you're listening to FM, tune to a station (not101.1), pull the lever & say "One oh one point one" & see what happens. Or say "CD" or say "AM"
If nothing happens either its dead or not in there.

If you look at the right side of the steering column you will see a nub with a hole plug in it at about the 1 oclock position on the column. Thats where the lever would be screwed into.
