ive got a question ive been meanin to ask about these...
if i have the command screen and everything but no navi, can i just buy the USA CD#1 i believe and put it in my CD slot and navigation will work or is there somethin else i have to do?

You will need the Nav Drive AND the bracket with a replacement left side trunk carpet ....Then the Nav CD

OK so wrong forum but since someone else started, let me ask a question. How good is the MB Nav software vs. what you get in a newer Garmin? Would be nice but if their (MBs) map accuracy, updates and release frequency is anything like TomTom, forget it.

Which map data supplier is Garmin using? Most navis use either Tele-Atlas or Navteq and the device map updates are about equally old.

Wait, so you can have the Comand screen but not have NAV? When you press the NAV button it says something like "Cannot access NAV", I thought it just needed the CD - but apparently not.
Sorry guy, but I don't understand what you were saying. So, what part is then needed - a DVD Unit - that I assume goes in the back trunk, which you put the DVD Maps into? Is there anything else required; and can this be installed at the dealer?
Steve has better prices, but if this isn't so much work, it's much quicker to just do through the dealer.
