Colour Question!

Ok, even though the car in question is not an e-class but rather a CLK, im sure many of you would have seen a lot of different e-class colour combinations. I was wondering how well does the stone interior go with the pewter exterior, because the Brochure only says its 'possible,' not 'recommened.' Any ideas?

We dont want a grey or blue interior, which leaves only one other option, Black, which doesnt have the same elegance as the stone interior.

thanks

pewter works with "stone" and "charcoal"

if you like "stone", it is OK. please read your brochure again.

I ordered pewter/stone but have not received it yet. Others who have it or have seen it have posted it looks great. I think one of the MB commericals for the 2003 E (Three Wishes) uses a petwer/stone car. You can see it through the E-Experience Issue #2, or go to mbusa.com under the E500 model. Good luck. It was a hard choice for me to decide too.

I have seen several Pewter E cars in Stone, Ash and Charcoal. All go well. The only negatives I see in these colors are that the Stone looks a little yellow, and the Ash has a slight blueish tint in some lighting. My subjective vote would be for the Ash. The Charcoal on the Sport Option combined with the black maple has no contrast, but it is good if you like the black, black cold look.

I've seen pewter / stone and it looks good. I think Pewter / Charcoal is a better combo if you like the dark interior (my wife does, but I don't). We were thinking of Pewter / Ash (which is the special order combo, pewter / stone is a normal combination), but after seeing pewter / stone and pewter / charcoal we decided that pewter / ash won't go together because of the "blue/grey" tones of the ash aren't matching with the brown tones of the pewter...IMHO

One more thing...IMO, it seems like the special order color combos in the big E-brochure are the color combos that are somewhat questionable, so MB charges special order charges for them (makes sense that other people would not want those so those cars are harder to sell). This may explain why wedgewood blue is special order with any interior..

I am another customer with those colors on order and am waiting to see what the Pewter/Stone combo looks like but I have heard it looks very good.

I hope so as I don't want another car with Grey leather,Blue is out of the question, and I think the Anthacite leather is too dark and doesn't work well with the Burr Walnut trim.

Hence,it has to be Stone which is very neutral and elegant.

I just hope I can keep it clean!!
