lol see. my C240 is smoked on the red part only and the car is black so it looks decent. since the E class has different light shape and body shape, im pretty sure it wont look too good, but we'll see. i wanna see his done

hey i did smoke mine very lightly i also did it on the bimmer, which is blue. thought it would turn out bad, but it came out to be better than on the merc.
ataching some pictures, i hope it would help some of you on the final decision. i personally like the new style tail lights, but they r too expensive.

Tell you what,
I will admit that it looks better on the E (with light tint) than it does on the 335ci...
But that doesn't say much now does it.
I like it, I'm just not sure I would want to do that to my car...

yea but ur car is black, thats an exception. every black car needs to have lightly smoked tails

how about white cars. i personally think white cars look best with tail lights tinted, well kinda depends on the style of the tail lights itself. white C-class looks very good with tail lights tint. next cat i wanna get in white, just so i can smoke the tail lights, unless i am gonna get a G-wagon.

I smoked the lights on my CLK and will be doing the same on the E350..

i love ur tail lights. the design of the tail lights it self is much better (in my opinion) on the CLK, it looks super nice. now, the reason mine dont look smoked during the day, is because i did the light color. i was aiming more for a very dark red instead of completely black.
ps. was thinking about taking my rear trunk spoiler off, kind of tired of it. opinion pls. thanks!

I have already started to mod the E350...anyways, about your trunk spoiler, it looks like the Lorinser..? I looked at those but it seemed to me that the spoiler came up too high for my liking. I wanted a subtle look--just to finish off the back...The place that customized the trunk spoiler on the CLK just installed another one for me on the E350...
Your car looks good, too...I think the spoiler looks good on it...

Alright guys it has been done, got it back a few hours ago and so far lookin great, i really like how it came out, the clear centers were lined perfectly and a scratch on the light has been taken care of as well, pix will follow shortly throughout this week. thanks for all of your opinions and advice :

:1) Getting the tail lights of a BLACK or WHITE w211 medium tinted (perhaps leaving the white part, white).

Ugh, I hate this... I thought I was done with the customization phase of my life but...
I haven't even taken delivery of my white E350 and I am already thinking about getting black-end e63 wheels and now tail lights.
Perhaps I'll just keep it stock.

u might be happy with stock car for a while, but u know u wont be able to be satisfied with it for too long. why? because u r thinking about modding it already. there r people who dont like mods and there r people who do, i think u r leaning towards those who do. its just there r way too many e-calsses on the road looking all the same. and it is human nature by default wanting to stand above or at least out of the crowd. therefore, why not treat your EGO. after all we live once, and that once lasts a moment at the most.
in addition, we gonna enjoy another moded w211 on the road
