MAX COOL A/C makes a loud / noise in the engine area?
I have 2004 E500. After owning this car for couple years, I just noticed that when the weather is hot, car Air Conditioner will automatically set itself to "MAX COOL". When it is at MAX COOL, something in the engine area (maybe blower or something) makes unusually louder noise. However, the noise will quickly disappear as soon as "MAX COOL" sign disappear from the console. Is this normal??

Yes it is. Whenever the A/C goes into MAX COOL, the radiator fan kicks into overdrive in order to dump the heat being removed from the cabin and placed into the condenser in front of the radiator. That heat has to be dissipated in order to suck more heat out of the cabin.
The noise in the car is minimal due to the excellent sound insulation, but people outside stare at the car like its an Everglades wind boat.
