extended warranty
There has been a lot of discussion on the Edmunds 2003 E-series board about the extended warranties.
This gist seems to be:
1. Don't buy it until the last year of your MB standard warranty as it just over laps the standard and runs at the same time with no benefits.
2. MB warranties are VERY soft priced and you will get a different price from every dealer. There is no reason to buy it from your dealer as it is issued by MBZ. It is good at all dealers.
3. It seems that there is a dealer in California (I can look up the name on the Edmunds Board if wanted) that sells the extended warranty at a deep discount. Several happy customers on that board.
4. There is also Warranty Gold who sells extended warranties with several reccomendations. I think I would go with the MBZ if given the chance. I would worry about an outside company going out of business.
