722.9 Current Rough Shifting Fix
209 CLK, 211 E, 219 CLS, 220 S
I understand the newest Valve Gear (Part #A 220 270 18 06) inclusive of an associated control module software update should successfully correct the majority of rough shift concerns. If valve body was already replaced and problems continue check your invoice for the part number. If it does not match the one referenced request this modified valve be installed. If for any reason the dealer denies the request ask that the MBUSA Technical Assistance Center (TAC) be contacted for approval.

The car had 9 miles on it and was built 13-June so I assume it has the latest parts/upgrades.
As for the new car...amazing!
In C the transmission doesn't use 1st gear. No thump downshift then.

Everything I try on the car works beautifully. I'd never used a Nav system before and I was plugging in destinations for our upcoming vacation intuitively. The phone works with both BT and the V3 cradle. SAT radio..set up when I picked the car up and the salesman even had the Sinatra channel playing (guess how old we are). I even have to eat crow and say that Keyless Go is the best thing since sex (yes, I can still remember that).
Most of all, the thing that most impresses me most about the car is just how incredibly smooth things work. It's better than the E320 in every way.
Despite everything, I can't get the garage door opener to sync

Now I'm anxiously awaiting Mercedes C-Class based Cute Ute. I'm afraid it's going to be quite a while before we see it but since my wife has killed any hope of an X3 and since she's very prejudiced about Mercedes, I'll have to wait.
I'm hoping that PHXMC's new store on Bell will have amenities that are half as good as Schumacher's. Never mind the broads, I'd just like to have a decent cup of coffee
