2008 E550 Invoice?

Where can I find the invoice prices for the 2008 E550? I've looked at Edmonds.com and searched Google. Where should I look for this information?

This method will get you pretty close to Invoice price.

Go to MBUSA and do a Build Your Own to come up with the total MSRP for the car you want. This price will have $775 shipping included so subtract it from the total MSRP you came up with.

Then multiple the MSRP w/o shipping by 93% and then add the $775 back in again.

This will get you very close to the Invoice price.

There may be advertising charges added to this price ($600 in the SW US) and the dealer may add in a fee for paperwork.

I used this method and came to within less than $10 difference with the final Invoice price on my recent '08 order.

What Bud says is right on.

Also to get fairly true dealer cost don't forget to calculate 3% holdback that dealer gets from manufacturer. This is calculated from MSRP.

There is another 1 to 2 percent dealers can get back from MBUSA if they have great customer surveys. That's why salesmen will offer you something if you let them do the survey.

However, my salesman just told me that MBUSA now do the survey via email so that may put a crimp in the cheating.

I assume my dealer made 5% on the car I ordered. Since I paid for the car one day after they became the owner of it, they didn't have any money invested in it.

When I ordered my car, 2008 prices weren't known. I just told my salesman that I'd give him Invoice for it whatever it was. He said that was fine and that's what happened. I actually paid about $15 less than I calculated for the car.

If you paid invoice plus 0%, their only profit is the holdback they get. If that's around 3%, isn't that all they made, unless they got another full 2% for earning great survey responses?

In the past, they had the best customer feedback rankings in the Zone. I assume they made more than 3%. 5% of a car that lists for close to $60K isn't peanuts.

Is seems as though every dealer claims to be the best in something or other and sometimes they actually will produce paperwork to back it up. It is my educated guess that unfortunately, the home office is more interested in moving the merchandise than how exactly the merchandise got moved – at least when it comes to sales. More sales today spell higher allotments down the road and allotment is the name of the game these days this is why we see invoice so readily available.

I didn't say they deserved good rankings. They certainly didn't get it on my last car. I agree that it's all about moving cars.

I would have rather got my car from a dealer that was more convenient and which had more amenities than bad coffee. However, whenever I tried to talk to the people in Scottsdale, they always played games with me while PHXMC never did.

I'm looking forward to the new store on Bell opening up. I was told it should be ready in November.

Now if only BMW will open up a store at Arrowhead

I ordered a 2008 E550 for $500 below invoice. I went to another dealer just to check, and he could do a few hundred OVER invoice and that was his best offer. He was willing to let me walk away without taking my order than do invoice, let alone $500 below.

can't someone post the dealer invoice sheets?

BMW people seem to get their hands on this stuff:

Well, when my car shows up, I'll note down the invoice figures for my car and post them. I don't know why others don't. Most people seem downright timid to post what they paid.

I'm referring to the dealer's invoice sheets as posted in the link above. These invoice sheets proved invaluable when I leased my BMW.

Yup, I'll copy down the figures off the Netstar screen. I know dealers wont print out the invoice for you, but you are free to copy it down.

In this thread, link, you finally got it. We're still awaiting pics of the car and the contract to support your claim of $500 under invoice (as listed 4 posts above).

Actually, I did *A LOT* better than $500 below invoice. I ended up at $695 below invoice I believe, and I got $1k knocked off the 3yr/100k mile warranty.

I feel a little weird about posting pictures of my private property on the net. I know, thats an a-hole thing for me to say when this board has given so much to me in return ... BUT ..

I will scan and post my purchase contract with private info blacked out as well as the invoices prices for all the gadgets. Basically, multiply each MSRP of an option/acc by 0.93 and you get the invoice within $1.

Also, if someone wants to order an 08 E550 from SoCal I can refer you to a possibly even better deal.

I love the car and I am very very thankful for this board.
