Few Rookie questions about my E320

Went through the manual and couldn't find answers..... Please help !!

Purchased the E320 last week and now it shows me the Service F in 250 miles.

Went through the options and there are 2 sets of things to do..
one under items and one under special work

1) what is the difference ??

2) Now if I work on my car and do the regular maintenance - can I reset the computer and the service messages ?? How do I do that ??

3) In most cars - you don't need to change the fuel filter unless its going bad. Do you guys recommend to change fuel filter as maintenance ??

4) By looking at the services - it seems I can do most of the work...
- replacing air filters should be easy.
- Will be trading in the car before it reaches 100K (my warranty expires), so I don't have to worry about changing the spark plugs or the coolant.
- I hope engine oil and filter change would be easy too.. Read that it should be done every 13K miles..
- I hope I can change the pads and rotors on this car. I have done that on my previous car several times
- Now is replacing brake fluid every 2 years essential?? On my previous cars - I have never changed brake fluid even at 100K miles and the brakes stilll work fine
- What are the service 10 and 11 ??

Appreciate all your help !!!

Start by reading this https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/92554-service-e-class-211-usa.html thread.

Change oil every 10K or 1 year whichever comes first and ignore the FSS system.

Use 0W-40 Mobil 1 oil and a fleece oil filter kit such as one of these http://catalog.worldpac.com/buymb/02...uymbparts.com/

You can change your own pads and rotors but you must be aware that your car has an electronic braking system that's powered by an electric pump instead of a normal brake master cylinder. You must disconnect the connection to a device called the SBC controller before you work on your brakes. See this thread for information https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ght=sbc+brakes

If you need to change the brake fluid, you must take it to a dealer or some place that can remove the pressure from the SBC brake system. You can't do it yourself. My experience is that the SBC braking system always seemed to work better after having the fluid changed. If it's never been changed, I would have it done.

btw - anyone know the difference between the "items" services and "special work" services and is there a way to reset these service messages ??
