Unhappy My Rear Power shade is out crazy...

my rear power shade is working off and on. if the shade is down and I hit the shade button on the center console the shade will go up, however if i hit it again it may or may not go back down. However if I let the car sit for a long time such as over night and press the button in the morning the shade will go down, and it will seem like its working for a while. then it start acting up again.

I took the car to a MB dealer in June and they told be it work fine. However I think they happen to check it when the shade was pretending to work. Since June, I thought it was the way the shades worked until I had my car service to repair other defect and the dealer gave me a loan car that happened to have rear power shade and it when up and down with out a hitch.

I set up a service appointment at a different mb dealer to see if they can figure it out.

Have any one had a similuar problem with there power shades?

Update:

I dropped the car at the dealer this morning. On the way to the dealer I was checked the rear shade and it was working perfectly and I was like damn WTF. I tried it a like 10 times and it worked fine..... When I got there I told the SA that the works sometimes. The SA asked me if it was hot in the car when you shades was not work right. Then it hit me that only thing I use the shade is when it sun out. And early in the morning the car is cool, then I was able to lower the shade. He said the heat jack up the power shade....lol. I also remember the other dealer that checked the shade did it after the car sat garage for a while. Therefore the shade fine for them.

Thats still too bad cause most likely you want to use the shade when its hot out. Your other option is tint. I put 5% black on top of the 90% stock tint and haven's used my shade since.

Thumbs up

Finally after taking my car to two different dealer several times, the frist dealer I took my car to fixed it. I gave up on the rear sunshade bc it worked off and on, but mostly it worked. Plus every time I took it to the dealer the sunshade worked for them. I took my car to the dealer to install Sirius and at the same time I decide to update the Teleaid. However the dealer did not have all the parks for teleaid and they say it will take two days for the parts to arrival. Since they gave me a loaner car I told them I just leave the car there until its all done. This morning the SA called me and said "when the Tech was moving my car the Sunshade started to acted up", so they checked it and the motor is bad so they replaced the sunshade. Also the SA said the tech also notice that my driver side A/C is not cooling at the same rate as the passenger side. So the SA asked me if its ok to keep the car until tomorrow to fix the A/C. I was like you can keep it as long as it takes to fix every thing.
