Updated Bluetooth Software...now not working
I was told by my dealer that the Bluetooth Cradle only supports certain phones. I found the website: http://www.wireless4mb.com/ and they list only a few phones from each carrier. My wife has the Verizon version of my BB and hers workds fine. SO there must be some version of Bluetooth that causes it to work or not.
Let me know if you find out anything...
The good news is I have fixed it. It turns out that the updated software didn't work so I had to put an olderversion of the software on the blackberry and it worked great.
So...if you have an 8100 that will NOT work with your bluetooth puck on an 07 let me know and I can help you to get it working.
Could you advise on how to determine what software version my BB is carrying, and which version you found to work? I will be quite !@#$ if I can't get my BB to talk to the MB !
Thanks!

My "brand new" (well, 3 months old) Pearl is using SW version 4.2.0.51. I find it odd that such a new phone would carry antiquated SW, but likely this is a function of it running on the Rogers cellular system (a company that seems to get most of its technology from garage sales, but they're the only ones to offer the GSM I need for global access). But, in consideration of jsimon77's problems, this is probably a good thing!

The car will release your phone after some of the circuits that de-energize several minutes after you shut down the car go dead. Thats one of the reasons I went with a cradled phone set-up rather than BT. The other reason was so the the call is handled by the car's rooftop antenna rather than the phone in the pocket's antenna.
My sw version is 4.2.0.64
We have the Bluetooth Puck and were also told by the dealer that our phones weren't supported but both my wife's 7130 and the 8100 both work fine.
T-Mobile released a new firmware version for the 8100 on the 13th that corrects the DST issue and variety of other fixes along with changing the display of the Menu items when you click on the Menu button.
The version is 4.2.1.103 and after updating my phone I was able to still connect fine to the MB bluetooth puck and have the phonebook/sms available.
