THREE NEW “LIKES” ... ONE little “DISLIKE”

LIKES

1. The front end doesn’t continuously hit - as do DTS’s
and probably others. With the DTS, you can never pull
the tires all the way up to a concrete stop in a parking
lot. And, it would always scrape in a sloping gutter, or
drive, etc. With the E-350 Sport, NO PROBLEM!

2. From the inside, it really has great visibility. That is
very helpful.

3. Click button one time for window to go clear up. ALL
cars won’t do this. Some will do one click down only.

DISLIKE

This is probably curable - but I haven’t figured out how
yet:

About 1 in 4 times - the seat belt won’t “stretch” so you
can latch it. Any time I've had that Similar situation, on
any other car it was because I closed the car door on it.

But, that’s not the case here. For some reason it seems
the retractor just won’t “let go.” After I fool with it for a
few times, it always does finally release.

I “can” go to the dealer but thought I'd tap the brilliance
of my Comrades first! Thanks.

Hum,,
I will add to this.

LIKES
1. Brake feel and stopping power. Much better than previous SBC system.
2. New Key FOB

DISLIKES

1. Trunk is too hard to close with 1 hand. Requires a lot of down force to close it. Next time, will get the auto trunk closer. Anyone know if I can add this feature now?

OceanView, my dad has a 2007 E550, the trunk is very light and easy to close. The springs may be adjustable, check with your dealer. If not, test a couple of new E's, in my experience the w211's have always had easy closing trunks.

Try pulling the seat belt out all the way in a steady pull to avoid having it lock up intermittently before you latch it. If it does lock up, you usually have to allow it to retract all the way to release the lock up, and then pull it out past the point where you can easily insert it.

Once you get used to doing this, you will probably not have any trouble. This applies to rear seat belts as well as the front.

Mine is an 07 E350 so it should be the same as your dad's.
I will check it with the dealer and see if mine needs adjusting.

Thanks

BUT .. my problem is that when I try to pull the seat belt, it is totally
tight! It won’t “pull out an inch!” (Until I fool with it for a little while.)

Much creative yanking and considerable cussing is required.

Nope. They pull right out. Have it replaced.
