When in doubt, buy both!
Loved my '03 E320 so much, I decided to trade my '03 CLK320 for an E500. Having experienced the new E, I thought the CLK was "too 'C' " technologically. Did this rather effortlessly, thanks to Martin Datnow at Mercedes-Benz of San Diego. Over MSRP on the trade of the the CLK. My Platinum Blue/ash was manufactured in mid Sept.. No favoring of the right; no shimmey. Seems perfect. Early in the game though. Came with the specially priced "launch" of the folding rear seats. One hundred bucks . . . . and also, finally, the CD changer built in behind the motorized door - $400. The Platinum Blue is great - contemporizes this car, makes it a lot less formal - even youthful. I can handle that. The folding seats might mitigate the need for an SUV or wagon. Folds easily, totally flat. My 90 lb. Lab seems happy with this, so far. Bye bye Honda Pilot, perhaps. Anyone wanting to see the fold down rear seat - let me know. I can take a digital pic and post it. Peter

Felix, the E55 shares the same accents and colors with the E Avantgarde right? except for the red needles and the V8 Kompressor imprint and 320Km I thought.. so they should look identical at night or am I wrong? its just that the above picture is much clearer and shows the accents better.
