Don't have DAS at reach but I don't remember this option existing.
Is your A/C fan surely running at the full intended speed? I would assume you would not want it running faster, it starts to be noisy already. But perhaps you have an issue with the regulator or the motor, perhaps it is not running as fast as it should?
The fan is PWM controlled and my understanding is that the regulator provides full voltage/current at max input.

I had posted an earlier question whether or not it could be a dirty cabin filter, but I got no feedback.

The fan speed when on Max seems not to push out as hard in my 03 E500 as it does in my 03E320. It cools well, but when comparing the two side/side the E320 is definitly pushing more out.

I assume the E320 had a 2-zone system while the E500 would have the 4-zone system. The 4-zone one would have an activated carbon filter and an option to direct air through it or let it pass this filter. Are you sure the carbon filter setting is not selected?
The 2-zone system should have a combination filter instead and no control for that. Why not test the system without the cabin filter?

Could of course be the filter but if it has been serviced according to the service schedule, it would be unlikely.

Difficult to say what is easy, usually it is easy for the second time when you already have learned the different clips and screws. Would need to remove the cover from below the glove compartment. I wonder if your parts guy would print the WIS document if you buy him the filter.
