One week with my E500

Well, it's been one week with the new toy, and I must say I'm extremely happy. As some of my earlier posts stated, I was a little skeptical with the new exterior design. I am loving it now!! the biggest problem I am having is keeping under 60mph! Now to nit pick a little: Upon taking delivery last week I got home and tried to activate the tele-aid system to no avail. Tried pushing all 3 buttons and none would light up. System seemed dead. I called the 800 number and they said everything seemed OK as far as they were concerned. I had to stop by the dealer a few days later to pick up something I left in my 430 and was hanging out with the sales guy and my service advisor. He spent an hour with the car and couldn't find anything. there is no malfunction message. I made an appointment for this week and went back out to the car with the salesman. We were playing around with the phone (I was wondering how you know you got messages if you werent in the car. A little envelope in the lower right hand corner of the display. Duh). All of a sudden we got a tele-aid malfunction in the display. Shut the car off started it again and it was gone. I haven't seen the message since. Then I got a message saying that the phone was not available, like it was not installed. Then that went away, and the phone worked. Very strange. I liked the window controls on the console, but the door is OK, it just seems that the space is a little narrow. It also seems that with my seat in a similiar position as my E430, the rear view mirror seems to be much closer to me. Again, with my seat in a similiar position there seems to be a little less room in the rear. My brother got in it yesterday, looked in the back and said it seems like less room. The active suspension certainly works, but it seems like sport II is a little "artificial". It's fun though. I don't seem to have any pulling to the right, although I've only used the wipers to clean the windows (no rain) they don't seem overly noisy. the engine does seem to sound a little strange, almost like a diesel. more a low pitched ticking. Based on the posts I was expecting something high pitched for some reason. Although it's only been a week, early impressions are very positive. the interior is awesome, even the walnut seems to be a little different than my previous E's, more luxurious.

Congratulations

Do you think the ticking is the noise we have heard so much about? If it is there is a "fix" for it according to posts.
