sucks man i just got mine and had a little miss hap too...
haha...must be a jersey thing..

lol... when it first happen i didn't want to see the damage. my wife was the first to look. I should have took pics with my iphone. However I'm planning on going back to the dealer to take pic so i can have a record of the airbags.

I went to work today and told my coworkers. they all was saying how can you crash a benz...lol and how did you make it in to work bc you should be laid up in the hospital collection benefits....lmao. I told them I cant afford to lose my overtime bc I have to pay my 1000 deductible....

However the ironic thing is the day I crash my car, I was going to see a friend of mine that crashed his benz on Saturday morning while driving to work. I grow up with him and we also work at the same job. the crazy thing is he crashed it to a wall too. However he was driving on the highway. sadly he was not wearing his seat belt and he was ejected for the car and the car caught on fire. He is in ICU with head trauma in a medical coma . so I consider myself very lucky. However my wife thought i was trying to kill her....

Any attorneys that specialize in the brake failure?

This one should be eaten by MB not your insurance.

If it hasn't happened yet, someday, somewhere, a W211 is going to plow into a crowd of people on a sidewalk, etc.

It is good to hear that you are both okay. Too bad about the car, but in the end when the car gets fixed, things would be fine. So dont feel too bad. My best wishes.

Glad you walked away from it. I would freak out if I got into an accident with my kids in the car.

The air bag situation is completely normal. These cars have a multi stage airbag deployment system.
At low speeds they are designed not to fully deploy as the violent force could cause severe damage to the occupant. As far as the brakes go is it not possible that it was simply an accident and not a problem with the brakes?
We should all withhold judgement until we hear the outcome of this.
I only say this as in my line of work I constantly see people have accidents and blame everything but themselves.
I am not saying that this is what happened but I do not believe it is reason for us all to panic about our braking systems.
Bottom line, we drive some of the safest cars on the road. I am very glad you were not hurt.
