Between invoice and msrp, just how much should I be paying? And I don't mean, mega negotiation deal. Is 1k over invoice achievable? 1k off msrp? Full msrp?

I just want to know before I go to the table if I'm fighting a loosing battle before I even get there.

Thanks.

Whats your location?

Forget MSRP! The car is under 24 months away from end of production.

I initially negotiated $500 below INVOICE and walked away with more than that when the car showed up.

I'd start at $1500 below and settle at $1k below INVOICE.

If you're in SoCal, PM me.

I'm in the pacnw ... we've only got a couple of dealers up here so sometimes it can be tough negotiating. Especially if you don't know what socal dealers will do. Most times I have to play that card, and threaten to go buy the car down there.

Thanks a ton for the info guys.

Call Yakima. $1000 over invoice w/o really trying. If you are not hung up on the 333 package (I assume that is the AMG package) you still might find a new '07 for several thousand under invoice.

I was giving Barrier and Phil Smart a chance and then it was off to Yakima and Spokane. I'm always over in Spokompton anyway. I'm surprised that Yakima is willing to deal at all. I suspected that the E. Washington dealers don't get enough business to be able to negotiate on prices.

Can I ask which sales person you dealt with in Yakima?

Yup, 333 = $0, 321 AMG = $2000 (Invoice: $1860)

Ask for Abel. He prides himself on beating the big boys in Seattle. Yakima used to be a closed market but with all the info on the internet they finally (about 3 years ago) came around. Prior to that I hadn't bought a car locally for 20 years. Ask about avalable '07's. I believe there are some still out there although the '08's are starting to show up. I was in Boise today for a birthday party and saw several '08's on the lot.
