Arrow Brake squeal!

P-B-42.10/79 SEPT07 Front / rear brakes squeal when braking

FRONT

211.022/026/065
* 1 piston floating caliper brake
Apply brake paste (Varybond NeverSeeze part # A0019899451) to the brake pad slots in brake carrier and backing plates of the outer brake pads.

211.082/083/087/282/283/287
* 1 and 2 piston-floating caliper
Brake paste (ATE Plastilube part # BQ1420001) brake pad guides in the brake caliper as well as the guide elements of the brake pads (T-heads).
* 4 piston fixed caliper
Brake paste (Molykote copper paste part #A0019898751) brake pad slots in the brake caliper as well as the side edges and the braking plates of the brake pads.

REAR

211.076/276
* 1 and 2 piston fixed and floating caliper
Brake paste (Varybond NeverSeeze) brake pad slots in brake caliper, side edges, and backing plates of brake pads.
* 4-piston fixed caliper
Brake paste (Molykote copper paste) brake pad slots in brake caliper and side edges of brake pads.

211.022/026/056/065/070/072/082/083/087/090/256/265/277/282/283/287
* 1 piston floating caliper
Brake paste (ATE Plastilube) brake pad guides in the brake caliper and guide elements of the brake pads (T-head) as well as the backing plate of the outer brake pads.

If new pads were not installed and the problem persists, replace the brake pads with the latest part number and install dampers in pistons of front brake calipers.

Cost free, unlimited mileage under warranty.

I've only been complaining about since... FOREVER!!!!! And NOW they admit that it's THEIR problem?! After all the BS from the SA about it being "normal" or "unable to duplicate problem at this time" when, how can you freakin NOT hear that squeal!!!!


Over 3 freakin years dealing with the damn break squeal and NOW they decide they're gonna address the problem! SQUEAL this, MB!!!

Geeze, that pisses me off!!

.. I heard of a potential lawsuit against MB on behalf of an Architect who claimed (and had medical proof) that the break squeal caused him migraines, yet MB insisted that there was no problem...

Maybe that had something to do with their latent action.

Our CDI has 26K miles and the brakes have never squeaked once.

I personally replaced pads and rotors at 25K and didn't use any lube because there's no place for it and MB doesn't call for it. Still no squeaks.
