Need an AUX access

I have 2003 E500 Sport (w211) with HK unit, no AUX in glovebox and none in the back of the unit. I'm trying to hardwire an XM or ipod.. I couldn't find an AUX anywhere so i bought a modulator that hooks up to the FM antenna which I located but there is no way i'm gonna mess with cause it doesn't fit. Now, i could use an FM transmitter but really in Chicago i can't find an empty station since most start at 88.1 not lower. Help me please.. i really don't want to spend 2K to change my command center

Do you have a COMAND unit or just Audio 50 (the one with the cassette)?

By the way, if you have Audio 50 you won't have to spend 2K for upgrading to COMAND. If you can live with a US configured COMAND unit, you could pick one up for about $500.

I would get a new head unit. Your overall experience would be sooooo much better with a larger screen and newer user interface. Plus, you could add navigation. Check into European COMAND units if you want to get DVD and M3 playback. But if you don't need DVD playback then stick with US based COMAND.

There's a US version on ebay for something like 425 or 450.
