2010 E350 4Matic w/sport package
Picked up the 2008 E350 today..

Just picked up the new car, 2008 E350 4Matic, black/black with AMG sports package, very nice car, I have a long ways to go before I learn all the features but I pretty much have the basics down. The car had 9 miles on it and a very tiny scratch on the driver side quarter panel and I spoke to the parts/service guy and he gave me a "we owe" slip to buff/wet sand it out when I come in for the 1st 1,000 mile check up. The scratch was REALLY tiny, maybe 1 centimeter but it was in the clear coat and I warned him not to laugh when he sees it but hey can't hurt to ask them to take care of it.

Since this thread is "worthless without pics" I will include one even though everyone has seen this car I am sure. When I am done with the add-ons then I will take the good pics.

Buying this week: E63 rear lip spoiler, CL Grille for the front and star emblem. Tinting windows with 35% as soon as I can set up a day with the tint shop. Would love to be able to find a remote starter installer but everyone I speak to at the dealership told me it probably isn't a smart thing and no one can give me a solid answer if they know who can do it..which sucks.... my 1st Benz as well as 1st car without a remote starter but it is what it is Will also change the fog/driving, headlights in the future.

Looking forward to seeing it all done in a few weeks..

In the pic you will see just a simple quick pic as well as my TL that they paid off for me, really liked that car, very similar "look" so to say. I seem to get the same sort of look every time, but that just my taste I guess.

Out with the old in with the new

Sweet ride! The CL Grille and emblem are awesome. I also added the AMG Ebrake, gas and brake peddle conversion which kinda sets off the interior.

You will love the car, but if the need for more speed bug hits you like it has me , a chip will be in your near future as well.

Thanks guys, as far as speed I am pretty content, the TL at 270HP was just fine for me though I wish it was quicker off the line. The E350 seems fine even though I have not gone over 2,500 rpm or 70mph, but I will in a few weeks. As long as I get a nice acceleration on the highway that is all I need. It was really fun to pass slow cars in the fast lane in the TL when the V-tech kicked in, as long as the Benz comes close to the TL then I will be ok with the speed. When I am ready for the real deal speed I will get the E63 AMG which is my plan after I get rid of this car in a few years.

As far as the car, it will look just right when I get the CL Grille, E63 rear spoiler and some tint, then I think it will look really sharp.

I agree with you in to modify the car, but leave the grill as its,,, it looks more classy for 4 doors car,

Yeah silver is awesome, if I had my choice I would buy 1 in each color but man when the black is clean it is sick. These 3 little kids walked by my house today when I was getting the mail and one of them who was maybe 8-9 yrs old goes "wow nice car". I thought that was so funny... it is really the color more than anything... every black car I have had always gets people looking, mostly because I always keep them super clean, but yeah silver is hot also!

My one friend has lots of cars, every one of them is silver. When I get cars they are always black, when we get a new car we ask each other what color did you get and pretty much have the same reaction to each other like "do you even have to ask?"

From the research I did as well as various pics, it seems to be the best option is to go with formymercedes.com, they have a nice one that is painted already and comes with free shipping until 10/31/07. Im buying this week the CL Grille, flat hood emblem, and E63 rear lip spoiler.

Noice!!! more power to you for going w/ black paint

tint + rear E63 spoiler + CL grill would be a fine start.

then front CF lower lip spoiler + lowered suspension + bigger rims, plz no chrome or ghetto replicas = da bomb

i had a black car once. Stayed clean for about as long as the water was still dripping off it. Then instantly the dust appeared on it . I used to have to dust it a few times a day if I wanted the shine on it. My current car is silver and keeps pretty clean. But my next car, MB E350 or 550 will be Artic White for sure.

+1. I still have my Jet black bimmer. They do look good when they are nice and clean but like you said, the dust highlighted the black car so much that you need it to dust it every time to keep it looking nice. That's why I went and bought me more light color, an artic white on my E350.

Anyone ever buy a spoiler from these folks:
http://app.vendio.com/storefront?vie...0349259&mode=1
Direct Sales & Design, Inc. They have a better price, and do the paint code matching, etc.

Yeah I just ordered the CL Grille, flat emblem and the E63 spoiler, should be here by the end of the week. Do you have any pics with the spoiler on your car?

I need to get the car tinted and some all season mats and trunk liner then I will be good for a while.
