LED's in front turn sigs
I know someone might have already had this discussion but I did a search and not to much came up. Anyway. I just purchased some LED front turn sig bulbs and just installed them and no dice. No light at all??? I put my stocks back in and light do shine again.
What's up?
Oh by the way, I'm using 1157's instead of 2357's. DID THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE?

Polarity?
LEDs tend to be polarized (they only work if installed one way). Perhaps you could see if they go in the other way, or you will have to reverse the wires going into the socket. Before doing that test the bulbs with a 12v source (both polarities).

Got you. I've tried installing both of them and still nothing. The way the pins are, one is at the bottom and one in the middle, I can't change them around. On the turn signal bulbs there are no wires going to them. There is just connections directly on the bulb housing so there are no wires to reverse.
Any body else have good luck with maybe another brand of bulb?

Here is what I would do...
Get a 12v power source (12v battery, two 6c batteries in series, etc.) Connect the bulbs up to the battery. Try one way, then the other. Note which polarity works. Then put a voltmeter on the socket and see which polarity it has. They are possibly opposites. If they are, then take the wires going to the socket and swap them (either by cut and splice (solder and tape properly), or with some kind of harness).
If they are not opposite of the correct polarity then there is some other issue, like they draw too much current and some intelligent circuit is cutting them off.

Question for you! When you bought your LED turn signal bulbs, did it come with a pair of load equalizer?? If not you want to go back where you bought it and you need to purchase these load equalizers. You will need to tap it both wires.

I hope I don't cause much trouble bumping this, but im actually going to do this to my E320, But where are the wires that power the bulb located? From what I can tell the bulb just screws out and it appears that its connected to a metal ring that powers the bulb. There are two plugs in the middle of the headlight housing one has 3 pongs (top) and the other 2 pongs (bottom)
Then there is obviously the high-beam/parking light one.

I have LEDs in my turn signals
Mine worked right off the back, since the first day i installed then they worked...i did have an issue with the polarity in the beginning but all i did was flip it around and wah lahh!!! also my bulbs are error free ones cause i have non-error free ones and they do not work at all...so that might be your issue...if so get yourself 2 ceramic resistors 5V 100Ohm from radio shack and you should be fine...
