Two Issues Regarding Instrument Cluster

Well, I have an E320 4Matic '04 and have an issue with the speedometer and the digital screen.

When driving on cruise control and say I choose to set it at 80km/h the arrow is acctually two or three kilometers off. Everything was fine till a few days ago when the mechanics worked on the cluster to get the thermometer working again (it had stopped and defaulted to 85C/185F)... my question is can it be re-balanced and syncronized?

The other thing has always been there. Whenever I change tracks or radio stations the digital screen is always a bit (split second) slower than the command screen... is there a software or some other solution to get that syncronized too?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

I had that default High 185F temp condition on my '04 for a little while. I must have gotten it snagged on something & the sensor was damaged or the wire was ripped off. They didn't have to go into the cluster to make the repair. It was fiixed behind the front bumper. Are you sure they were in the cluster to make the repair?

Yes I am. The issue with my temp. had nothing to do with the bumper sensor... it was later discovered to be related to the AC after prolonged diagnosis - including an online hook-up with headquarters once they couldn't figure out the issue. That has since been resolved of course.

Anyone here experienced this or have an answer?
