'12 Mustang 5.0, '89 Supra Turbo, C55,
Wow! I'm learning about Benz's right now, and this problem seems to be the exact problem that some of the C32 owners experienced. I do bel. the Valeo radiator is the culprit, leaking coolant into the tranny.

I wanted a C32, but family said it was too small, so now we're looking for an E500.

Now I have to search for "valeo" and "glycol" in the E-class section, just as I thought that was over....

b rashed, good luck, and hopefully MB helps you big time.

Please re-read post 20 and 21, both say the same thing and answer your question not once but twice. Also read post 23, that is some other very respected advice. I'm wondering how the conversations went when you talked to the dealer.

hey B rashed,

do your state have a used car warranty program? in NJ (depends on miles on car)if you by a car from a dealer it comes with a 3 to 6 months warranty that cover major parts unless dealer pull the "as is" crap. however you have to sign the waver on the sales contract the state you are knowingly buying a car "as is". nomarly a dealer would do that if they know the car has some problems when they bought it from auction are when some one traded it in, and fixing it is not some they dont want to do. however you save big money. I bought my car "as is" I bought my car for $30,000 "as is".I saved about $5k-$6K. however it was still covered under factory warranty it had as **** load of work done such as keyless go was not working, SRS, etc. I'm hoping your state do like NJ and NY I figure all states should have it, bc a dealer should be selling a car in like new condition unless its auctioned off or the car is being sold for a private seller.

I think its called the lemon law over here. I would check in to that, unless you remember signing a waver?

2003 E500 Benz & 2015 BMW M235ix
I'd go back to the dealer you bought the car from and ask for their resolution. Not sure, but sounds like your vehicle has had the problem that's been characteristic of the 2003 E500 where the transmission cooling unit which is integrated into the radiator leaks and coolant gets into the tranmission fuid. I had this problem happen last May and found out about it when the car would vibrate when I gave it gas on the open road......felt like I was on some rough road. I have an extended warranty from the Mercedes dealer I bought my car and they had to replace the radiator, the torque converted and flushed the radiator and replaced the transmission fuid. My vehicle only had about 40,000 miles when this happened......it's a design flaw with the these vehicles.
