help, I need the "undo" command w/ FSS

I think I messed up my FSS. I had service "G" due in the next 2,500 miles and I went in and messed with the FSS. I think I accidentally "confirmed" the wrong thing, and now I get a warning saying that I exceeded service "g" by 11,500 miles. Is there a way to undo what I did?

Anyone know what I might have done wrong? I want to get rid of that error message each time I drive my car...

Thanks!

Perhaps just stop by your local stealer and ask them to help you out? They should, especially if they think you will be back in 2500 miles time to spend money with them. If you catch them on a good day, you might be able to sit in the car with them and they can show you how to navigate the FSS menu's and options.

Hey, they can only say "No", right?

I palyed with it some more and got the warning to go away. Now it displays that my next service is in 13,000 miles. I can't get it to go back to the due in2,500 miles notice. So, to fix the problem I have decided to change my oil today so that I can catch up to the FSS.

This should be fine but there should be a lot more than engine oil on a G service, are you planning to have those done too?

yes, I will do everything else, such as the fuel filters, air intake filters, spark plugs, and brake fluid. Don't know why it wants me to do it, but I will...I only have 48,000 miles on it and for some reason it wants new spark plugs...

Yes, spark plugs should not wear too much over time but more from miles. Be careful with the brakes, isn't it an SBC car (disable SBC first).

Yes, I might have to have the brakes done at the dealer. Seems like the bleeding procedures have to be done with "Star" computer - so I'm not going to mess with that! Also, part of the procedure requires testing the "preload pressure of the pressure reservoir".

I will have to replace the fuel pump assembly, as there's no separate filter...cost for the part is approx. $250.00 at dealer.

I was surprised to learn that our 6 cylinder E320's have 12 spark plugs!

Regards,

MD
