Is the 2007 W211 any good?
Ok so the '03 211 E320 is nice and all but that damn jerking issue is pissing me off so I'm thinking that since the car is a first year model, that could be why. i'm tempted to go for a 2007 facelift E350, but I dont know if I'll have the same problem. what's your take?

My 2007 has been rock solid, and an absolute pleasure to drive and to own. I had been in an '04 that I had ordered & built in 11/03, delivered 12/04, which was a nightmare.
That being said, my '07 is my second MB with the 7 speed transmission. It is my personal opinion that MBs 7 Speed transmission is a great transmission whether it is upshifting or downshifting in gears 3 thru 7. IMO 1-2 and 2-1 shifting/performance is poor & clunky when the engine temp is still cold, and at very slow crawl speeds.
The 2007> cars are in no way like the 2003 - 2006 cars. In every way thay are better. There's no way an '07 won't make you happy.

Hmmmm....my 06 ML350 has been a dream to drive too... I'm thinking that the 7spd tranny has something to do with it, despite some people saying they had problems with it.

Get the 550 atleast, your gonna want that grunt the 350 is good but the 550 is amazing.

All is good with my 2007, no issues at all to date. I also suggest that you try the 550; it has some exclusivity and a lot more power for not that many more $$.
