are Iphone & Puck w/ Tail compatible?
Dear all,
My Puck w/ Tail has been working great with my Treo 650, but I'm considering an Iphone. Has anyone had any problems with their Iphone & Puck w/ Tail setup? Anything I should know?
Thanks!

Works with 04 E320 with puck/tail. One thing we've noticed however, is that the iPhone must be on and bluetooth on when the car is started for reliable pairing. Once you remember that, it works well.

As far as I can tell, yes. If you enter the car with the iPhone on (having paired it in you initial setup), there is no need to do anything with the puck. You get in and the phone pairs, address book downloads, and you're good to go. This my wife's iPhone and her car, and she does not have a lot of entries in the iPhone phonebook, so I can't comment on what it will do if there are many hundreds of entries. For her purposes, it works. YMMV.

The puck w/ tail usually turns my palm phone on when I get within a few feet of my car, which is when the bluetooth connection gets activated. Every once in a while the connection doesn't happen, and I get a message saying "please insert phone" or "phone off".
It's a bit of a hastle but not a big deal compared to the benefit of having it when it works (about 99% of the time).
You will really enjoy it once you get it working right...
