My AGW Audio Gateway woes revisited.

My AGW Audio Gateway woes revisited.
So my AGW is dead. I did some research (thanks for the tips to members of this forum!), subscribed to the EPC and found the following part numbers that will work with W211 in the USA market:
2118206189 replaced by 2118271842
2118274342 replaced by 2118702589
2118206289 replaced by 2118272142
2118274642 replaced by 2118701889 replaced by 2118701589
The dealer refused to do a goodwill repair (I even asked to just get a replacement part and I would install it), and wants $680 for a refurbished unit (just the part!) with a core exchange.
It amazes me that MB has had to replace/update every unit they put out to market, I have no idea why they cant get this crap right.
Anyone that knows where I can get any of the above at a reasonable price, please let me know.

Forget the dealer they're not responsible the manufacturer MB is. PM your email address I may have a suggestion or two.
