Question E550 (W211) Stock wheel specs?

Hi all,

I've searched and couldn't find the specs for stock E550 W211 wheels. I'm not sure what they're called. Can anybody help me out? Are they 17" or 18"? What's the width, offset and bolt pattern?

I'm talking about these wheels:

My neighbor has them and every time I look at them, I keep thinking that they would look good on my GTI with the right tires and drop if they're 18s

Thanks for the quick response!
I got your PM as well, but still a little confused with all that info.
So to double-check, the wheels that I'm talking about are the non-AMG Sport Package wheels 18x8.5 -38mm, right? What's the bolt pattern?
If it's 5x112, then they will bolt right up and line up with the fenders pretty good i think...

That is the bolt pattern, wheel size and offset for the W211 w/sport pkg, but I'm not sure what it is - that you're trying to accomplish.

Thanks, bro!
I drive a MK5 GTI (that W211 on the picture is not mine, I took the picture from the picture thread). I am trying to see if the W211 wheels will fit on my GTI, so I was asking for the specs. So it looks like they will fit perfectly onto my GTI.

OK, I re-read your original post: you wanna put those wheels on your GTI. The data offered by the W211 owner's manual tells you what MB recommends regarding wheels in relation to the W211. To find out if those wheels will be any good for your GTI, then you'll have to go to the GTI owner's manual to see what VW says your allowances will be.

Front and Rear 2009 E550 Tire Sizes

My E550 is ready for new tires. I know the rear are wider than the front and I had read somewhere a while back they required 2 different sets of tires for the front and back. Not being a mechanic can someone help me with what sizes I should buy for front and rear? Thanks! - Ken

You can also look at your current tires to get the size
