thread count on tires

hi all,
I have a naive question. How can I count the thread of the tires? I tried figuring out the different techniques that are there online, but none of them seemed convinving. With all the help and info I have already obtained from this group, I thought I will pose my question here.
thank you all for the great forum.. and merry chirstams to all.

i think you're confusing your tire tread with your bedsheet thread count

Yep, as others have alluded to, there is no such thing as tire thread.

If you want to check tire tread, purchase a tread depth gauge.

I thought he might have been after the ply count, steel and nylon what ever they have?

At least European tyres have ply materials plus the number of plies on tread and sidewalls marked on the tyre sidewall.
