Swapping steering wheels?
I'm assuming I would:
-disconnect the battery,
-remove the screws from the back that hold the horn button, SRS etc
-remove any wires
-pull the wheel
-assemble new wheel in reverse order
Did I forget anything?

Piece of cake!

My mistake. I now have a 2005 E320 Sport so the link is correct, thanks. My steering wheel is in good shape, its just worn smooth and shiney. I like the pebble, matte feel of a new one. My local dealer gave me a 2007 or 2008 C Class loaner last week and I liked the finger swells at the 10:00 and 2:00 positions on the steering wheel.
Is there a wheel like that that will fit my car?

You can find a lot of really nice steering wheels for a good price at several places online. I don't know if I'm allowed to do this, but I'm placing a link here to a company that has of the steering wheels that I have been looking at. If it doesn't show up, PM me and I will send it to you.
***Moderators*** I have NO interest in this company other than as a satisfied customer.

I found that even oempartsdirect wants over $800 for the stock steering wheel, so I'm going to go with the wooden one that is just a little bit more from the site above.
Post some pics when you get it done.
