1988 BMW 325is, 2007 Mercedes Benz E350 Wagon
I went ahead and ordered the P-2700-211-06 which is the one you are referring to above. After I get it, I'll try it out and see if it indeed is SLOW!
When I called MBUSA they tried to sell me the newer version which is
P-2700-211-07 for $88 but I told them I wanted the 06 version which is only $60. Since I have a 2005 E500, there really wasn't a need for the newer version since it covers the 350, 550, and 63 engines which I don't need.

Anyway, I thought you might want to be aware of this.

You're probably right that I should have gotten the newer version, as I'm sure there is more information on it. I only got it for basic maintenence how to.
Anyways, I did receive it today and it is NOT slow! It takes about five seconds after the disc is installed and then I'm at the main menu.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I've been messing around with it all night.

256 RAM..............................................M ine 2G
150 MB hard drive..................................Mine 300 G

Adobe 6.0.............................................Mi ne 7.0
DVD ROM.............................................. JLMS DVD-ROM XJ-HD166

Found out why it is slow. I have dual drives and the one I was using was not a DVD-Rom but a DVD burner. I used the DVD - ROM this time and the disc loaded up "normally" about 20 times faster than previous. So thanks for the prod the mind time that made me think about the drives.

Within Windows 7 you can install WINDOWS XP VIRTUAL PC. I have been using this and it works fine. VIRTUAL PC will see your DVD drive and load the appropriate Autodesk viewer. If you google WINDOWS XP VIRTUAL PC, there are instructions from Microsoft.
You can PM me with questions.
