I wish my e55 had remote start, are there any aftermarket kits worthy of installing on the E55?

I don't see you mentioned where you come from. Are you after the remote starter to heat up the car before you go? Or is it also to cool it first on a hot summer day?

For warming up the car you should really use a remote controlled STH, stationary heater. It is not good for your engine to warm it up by idling a long time (not good for the environment either).

Because of the Drive Authorisation System on your car, a remote starter isn't simple at all. I've heard of an after market unit but it does not work without leaven a key to the car. Not a good idea for KG cars but I would not leave my key to the car in any case (even if it was hidden).

Our cars have a complex electrical system so I wouldn't go adding unnecessary things to complicate it.
