Are there any other 07 Bluetec owners who's vehicle did not require a replacement of the Crankshaft Position Sensor?

You would have gotten letter from Mercedes by now if your car was affected.

Even if I bought my car after the recall? Still doesn't hurt to check in VMI if there might be some other updates.

Does it mean that MB has not ironed out the still new Bluetec V-6?

After all this V-6 diesel is similar to but not the same as the one introduced in Europe a couple of years back. The European is a cleverer version without all the NA emission devices and therefore without all the accompanying sensors and electronics. In other words less to go wrong.

Less money for upkeep. Less worries for CELs. More money in your pocket.

Do you have some details, as far as I know, the parts count is exactly the same, it is mainly the particle filter (don't remember if the other parts of the exhaust were the same) that exists on both but is a different part number and possibly ECU SW.

The sensor as of this thread must be the same part (compatible part versions may be different, I'm not sure but I would assume a batch of bad sensors would have entered European cars too).

Of course marketing wants to define everything new and better even when minor differences exist, the US Bluetec, equally to the Euro Bluetec are pretty similar to the current Euro E320CDI in my opinion.
