E500 Headlights
When I start the car and turn the headlights on in the manual position. The right or passenger side light lowers a few inches, then returns to it's correct height position. Is this normal? Do these lights move while driving? This model has the Xenon lights.

This is an auto-leveling feature at startup and while driving for the benefit of oncoming vehicles.
MBUSA introduced active Bi-Xenon (follow curve while driving) to the 211 in ’04.

The active Bi Xenon will look up, down, left, right on start up.

OK, is there a test that I can run to find out if both are auto-leveling as intended. Like I said earlier when I first start it and manually turn the lights on. Only the passenger light drops a few inches. Then returns to the same height as the drivers side. The drivers side doesn't move during this.

Since everyone is on this subject. I do have a bi-xenon auto leveling lights which the lights do turn in the corner. But, can I manually adjust the headlights?

Alright, the drivers head-light isn't auto-leveling. The day after I purchased the car it was raining and this light stopped working. I noticed it had an excessive amount of moisture in that housing. I thought the bulb went out. When I looked at it, the back cover was off. I removed the igniter and bulb. Cleaned the connection, put it back in and voila. It worked. Now I think I need to remove and clean the connections for the auto-leveling motor. Is there a way to get the entire housing out without removing the bumper? While I have it out I would like to clean the inside of the lense also.
