How to make the sound louder with AMG mufflers?
Hello guys, I just bought for my CLS500 AMG mufflers. I didn't install them yet. but I want to ask if any one know how to make the sound louder? I think there is something I can remove it so the sound comes louder but I don't know what to remove exactly? Any one know?

These cars don't sound anything close to a civic or any ricer for that matter. Remove the resonator, add an muffler or an x-pipe and you get a nice and gentle but intimidating growl. I removed the resonator on my W210 E55 and this car should have sounded this way from the factory, perfect!

Unfortunately no but the car is still in my garage waiting for the truck to take it to its new owner in Boston. I'm pretty savvy with electronics and crap but how and where would I upload a sound clip? I have a Sony MiniDV camcorder that takes a memory stick...

The resonators don't have anything to do with the Cats! The Cats are needed for proper emissions. The resonators are sound suppressors from what I understand and just restrict the out pressure. I removed my resonator, replaced it with an X-pipe and passed smog with flying colors and I'm CA! No check engine light, no overheating, no smoke, no smog issues, no problems!

Exactly, it's that big ugly flat canister looking thing before the rear muffler, or at least that's how it is on the W210. Depending on the size (diameter) of the pipes on the W211's, you can probably find one on ebay. That's where I found the one for the W210.

But b_rashed, I'm very curious to hear your set up with the Magnaflow. If you can post a clip and then let me know how you did it so I can post one of my ex-W210 E55 that hasn't been picked up yet. Thanks...
