Command Aps?
MitchE500..thanks for steering me in the direction of this info.
So, for those who haven't already seen this, here's the description of the new COMMAND system as stated on MB's UK site. Looks like the NAV unit and Nav disc will be in the trunk....and the CD/DVD slot on the head unit can be used for music. However, a tuner to play movies is optional. Also, there is no metion of bluetooth
"The COMAND APS system has been given a complete overhaul, so you should find the optimised functions and features even easier to use. Comprised of two separate components, the operating system (COMAND) and a navigation module (APS) located in the boot-the new system can store map data for many different European countries on just a single DVD.
A telephone keypad and softkey function buttons operate the 2-tuner diversity radio, CD/DVD drive and generous 6.5" TFT colour display. You can also have a TV tuner installed as an optional extra. Enjoy a fine quality picture that fades out when the car exceeds 5mph, even though the sound continues

You should really have a look at this article from German Car fans,
it talks about Bluetooth and a whole lot more.
When you put this article together with the MB-UK info it starts to paint a picture of the system.
I do not know why MB will not release more official info if indeed the system is to be available early in 2003.... they must have the unit ready to go by now!
