I came across these tail lights for my 05' E500. What do you guys think? They look sweet, but my only concern is the clear part when the turn signal is on. Would the red strips come on too? Clear or smoked?

I think they're nicer than the 07> lights, which look a little crude when compared to the 03-06 style of lights... I guess I'm not partial to the big, slab of white in the middle of my tail lights.

I like them and have thought about putting them on my E320. Going clear or smoked would depend on the color of your car.

I dunno, they kinda look like older S-class taillights to me. I'd stick with stock or smoked style E55 tails...

That's true. They do resemble the older S and CL lights. Does anyone have a pix of their w211 with it?

I've got them. When the turn signal is on, the only part that flashes is the orange bulb, which you can see in the first and second pictures originally posted.
At first, I was concerned about them being a "ricer" mod, however, after putting them on, I think they look great and now the car doesn't look like a Ford 500 from the rear!

Have you seen the ones with the smoked slab in the middle. Those look much better. I actually think those are the best w211 rear lights. I actually saw a w211 with clear rear led lights. They looked kind of like the rear lights that were on the 00-03 Nissan maximas, except it was small led dots. They looked reall good...I looked everywhere and couldn't find them. might have been a customized light.

I would do the OEM LED's... they're less then $500 for a pair.
