Could you tell me where you got your e55 exhaust for $600?
I've been looking for one forever and cant seem to find one for a good price.
please let me know.

I've been looking for E55 AMG exhaust too and found several sites that sell them but they are closer to $1600 than $600... Found a wrecked E55 AMG in VA but it took a rear end shot and damaged the right tips and muff so it's a no-go... Stock E500 exhaust is lame and not alot of options unless you want to spend $2 - $3 grand... NOT... I'd be interestd in an E55 exhaust if anyone who reads this decides to peddle theirs reasonably...

OP..this seems like a silly Q but, are the E55 mufflers different than the 550's? I know the E55's obviously have the 55 tips, but i have a CLK550 with AMG tips but want to swap out my muffler so i get a more aggresive sound.

Removed both rear mufflers from my E550 Coupe
I removed the mufflers from my E550 Coupe and replaced them with straight pipes. The sound is much improved but not as loud as my C63 with the stock exhaust system. There is no resonance. Sometimes replacing the mufflers with pipe results in some resonance at about 2500. Not in this case, however.
